来季に向け、最も重要なのはコンディショニングとし「今の選手は試合が終わっても、ＣＭ撮影やイベントで休む時間がない。しっかり体をベストの状態に戻して新しい技術の習得やプログラムづくりに入ってほしい」とした。

Sportymagsさんもこの記事の中で、結弦くんのオフシーズンについて心配しています。

 

彼女も言っているけれど、ショーや、いろいろなイベント、ＣＭ等・・・、ピョンチャン五輪の後だって、たくさん、たくさん、結弦くんが皆を励ますことのできる機会はやってきます。

 

でも、オリンピックを連覇するチャンスは二度とやって来ない。結弦くん、どうか、自分のスケートのために時間を活用してください。

 

本当のファンはいつまでも待ちますから。そんな時間も楽しいのです。あなたの健康と夢の実現が、世界中のファンにとって、一番大切なことです。

The Men’s long program event at this year’s Worlds was absolutely thrilling!  We saw that a score of over 300 points still wasn’t enough to get you on the podium!  We saw a new world record set (YAY YUZU!!).  And, we saw the first ever all Asian podium.  The BEST part is that we saw Yuzu re-gain his World title!!
今年のワールドの男子フリーは何てスリリングな試合だったのだろう！３００点を超えるスコアでさえ、表彰台に乗るにはまだ不十分だということがわかった！私たちは世界新記録の更新（イェイ！！ユヅ）も見た。そして、表彰台が全てアジアに占められた大会を初めて見た。最高だったのは、ユヅがワールドのタイトルを奪還したことだ！！

To get Yuzu’s Hope and Legacy started, here is the mandatory Pooh squish and away we go!!  Did anyone breathe in the four and a half minutes??  I don’t remember breathing!
ユヅのホープ・アンド・レガシーを始めるにあたって、プーをモフるのは必須、さあ、行こう！！４分半、みんなは呼吸していた？？私は呼吸していたのかも覚えていない！



Spins always seem to be placed right in front of me so they were easy to shoot.
スピンのポジションはいつも私の目の前だった。だから撮影しやすかった。

What a stunning performance.  I am so happy to have witnessed it live in person.  The moments after Yuzu finished his performance I just looked around the arena and let the atmosphere soak in.  It was so exhilarating, not quite as fantastic as an NHL playoff home game, but you have to remember, Yuzu is just one man alone on the ice making an entire arena go wild!!  The command and power over the audience that Yuzu has is something that is hard to explain.  Imagine what it’s like to have 12,000 people watching your every move, and then you can silence them all by putting your finger to your lips or lowering your hands to tell everyone to quiet down, and EVERYONE does immediately!!  It’s a very surreal atmosphere to be a part of!  I am so happy and proud of Yuzu for finally having his “moment” at Worlds.
何という見事なパフォーマンス。これに現地で立ち会えた事が本当に嬉しい。ユヅが演技を終えた瞬間、私はアリーナを見渡し、その雰囲気に浸った。それはとても爽快で、ＮＨＬのプレーオフのホームゲームほどファンタスティックではなかったけれど、忘れてならないのは、ユヅはたった一人で氷の上にいて、アリーナ全体を半狂乱にさせていたのだ！！ユヅが持っている観客を支配する力をどう説明してよいかわからない。１２，０００人もの人々があなたの一挙手一投足を見つめているということがどんなことか想像してみてほしい。あなたがほんのちょっと指を唇に持っていったり、手を下げて皆に静かしてほしいという動作をするだけで、あなたは彼らを黙らせることができる。皆、即座に従うのだ！！自分もその一部となることは、とても現実離れした雰囲気だ！私はとても嬉しいし、ユヅがついにワールドで彼の「モーメント」を迎えることができたことを誇りに思う。

I hope Yuzu really thinks about his moment seriously, how fantastic it felt, what it took to get there and plans this off-season and Olympic season accordingly.  What I mean to say is that I hope he minimizes the ice-shows, and has supervised practices and does everything (minimizes travel) to stay rested and healthy.
私は本当にユヅがこのモーメントを、それがどれほどファンタスティックなことであるかを考え、そこにたどり着くのに何が必要か、またオフシーズン、そこからつながるオリンピック・シーズンに向けてのプランを計画してくれることを願っている。私が言いたいことは、アイスショーをできる限り最小限にし、練習をしっかりこなし、身体を休ませ、ステイ・ヘルシーでいるためのすべてのこと（移動を最小限にすること）をしてほしいと思う。

Yuzu, as you are reviewing all offers, please remember: the shows and appearances will all still be there after 2018, probably even more so, but the one shot at repeating as the Olympic Champion will not.
ユヅ、すべてのオファーを検討するときは、思い出してほしい。すべてのショーやイベントは２０１８年以降だってまだあるのだから、おそらく今よりもっと多く・・・。でも、オリンピックを連覇する機会は二度とはやってこない。



A signal that Yuzu was back!!  At this point we still had to sit and watch the rest of the men skate.  As each skater finished their programs and received their marks, a big breath in and out was needed to stay calm!!  I recall that after Javi skated, I turned to my friend and said “I think it’s enough”.  I calculated mentally in my head what I thought Javi would get for scores and the rest is history.  What an epic comeback!
ユヅが帰って来たサイン！！この時点で、私たちはまだ座って、残りの男子のスケートを見なければならなかった。スケーターたちが一人ひとり、自分たちのプログラムを終えて得点を待つ間、落ち着くために息を大きく吸ったり吐いたりする必要があった！！ハビが滑り終えた後、私は友達の方に向き直って「十分だと思う。」と言ったのを覚えている。私は頭の中でハビが何点ぐらいになるだろうかと計算した。何というものすごいカムバックだ！

スポットライトに包まれた栄光の瞬間が再び来た。センターステージに立つ前に。



I was fully zoomed out (rookie mistake) and wish I got the podium in this picture but Yuzu in-flight, mid air is actually a cool photo on its’ own.  If you look at the photo and the girls on the left, you see that Yuzu’s leap is at their waist height or higher and you realize how high he jumped to get onto the top of the podium!  I love Yuzu’s tradition!!
私は完全にズームアウトしていた（初歩的なミス）。この写真に表彰台を入れたかった。でも、ユヅは空中にいて、それ自体は実際クールな写真となった。写真の左側にいる女の子を見れば、彼女たちの腰か、それよりもっと高い位置にまで、ユヅがジャンプしているのが見えるだろう。表彰台のてっぺんに跳び上がるのに、どれほど高く彼がジャンプしているのかよくわかると思う。私はこのユヅのスタイルが好きだ！！



I adore Yuzu’s facial expression here.  There are certain expressions that Yuzu has that make him look like he is a 16 year old again.  So adorable.
ここでのユヅの顔の表情がいい。こうした表情はユヅが１６歳に戻ったかのように見せてくれる。とてもキュート。

Boyang still needing extra help to get the Chinese flag wrapped around him.  He’s priceless.
ボーヤンはそれでもなお、中国国旗をはおるために助けを必要としている。彼はプライスレスだ。



Once again, we see Yuzu careful folding up the Japanese flag while Shoma just handed it back to the guy who gave it to him.  Shoma’s young, he will learn.
ショーマは日本の国旗をくれた人にただ戻したのに対し、もう一度、ユヅは日本国旗を丁寧に折りたたんでいる。ショーマは若い。彼はこれから学ぶだろう。
