【動画】米海兵隊が外洋での追跡の末、貨物船トゥスカ号を拿捕する衝撃的な空撮映像
米海兵隊の精鋭部隊は、圧倒的な軍事力を見せつけるべく、強襲揚陸艦USSトリポリ（LHA 7）から大胆なヘリコプター降下作戦を敢行し、アラビア海でイラン船籍の貨物船トゥスカ号を拿捕した。
4月20日に行われたこの電光石火の作戦では、ミサイル駆逐艦USSスプルーアンス（DDG 111）によって航行不能に陥ったトゥスカ号に、特殊部隊員がロープ降下して甲板に降下した。
6時間に及ぶ膠着状態と度重なる警告への頑なな拒否の後、米軍は精密射撃でトゥスカ号の推進システムを破壊し、海兵隊が抵抗するトゥスカ号を確保する道筋をつけた。
この米海軍による海上封鎖の強硬な実施は、海洋戦略における妥協のない転換を示しており、国防総省はイランの公海上での抵抗を鎮圧するために、軍事力を武器として活用している。
