この歌は、ある奴隷商人の 悔い改めの歌でした。
3.11以来、盲目であった目が開かされ、気づきました。
私も 一人の奴隷商人であったのです。

今夜は、Amazing graceを訳してみたいと思います。

私のように哀れな嫌われ者を救い給うた
私はかつて迷い子であったが 今は見つけ出された
私はかつて盲目であったが 今は見える

How precious did that grace appear!

この慈悲こそが 私の心に恐れることを教え
私の恐れを解き放ち給うた
慈悲の響きのなんと尊いことか
私が初めて信じた今この時

And grace will lead me home.
多くの危険 労苦 罠をくぐり抜け
私はやがて戻ってきた
この慈悲がこれほど遠くへ私を運び
そして 私を家路へと導き給うたのだろう

The Lord has promised good to me,

He will my Shield and Portion be,
As long as life endures.
主は私に祝福を約束された
主の言葉は私の希望を守り給う
主は私の盾となり 私の一部となるだろう
命の続く限り
