Summary）
The health ministry approved the world's first clinical test in which artificially derived stem cells will be used to treat patients with spinal cord injuries. Reseacher of Keio University will inject neural cells produced from pluripotent stem cells into four people who sustained injuries while playing sports or in traffic accidents, and who have suffered lost mobility and sensation.The main purpose of the study is to comfirm the safety of the neural cell to be created.
厚労省は、慶応大学のiPS細胞から作られた神経細胞を脊髄損傷の治療に用いる臨床試験を承認した。主な目的は、人工的に作成した神経細胞の安全性を確かめることだ。
