シラー１００％の南仏ビオワイン。
シラー１００％というと渋いのかしらと思ったのですが、まったくそんなことはなく。自然派ワイン系のまろやかな感じで美味しかったです。特に酸味とか渋さとかなかった気がするのですが……美味しかったという記憶以外、特に記憶が……。特別安かったわけでもないので、また呑みたいという気も特には……。いや、美味しいんですけどね……。
で、本日いただいたのはフランスのビオワインですが、wine lover's calendarからはカリフォルニアの赤のご紹介。
Benessere (medium-bodied dry red)
Principal Grapes: cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese, merlot, syrah
Origin: Napa Valley. California
Price: $60
The term Super Tuscan is used to describe innovative Tuscan wines made from international grape varieties or using nontraditional winemaking procedures. Capturing the same spirit but in the Napa Valley, Phenomenon is a blend using the traditional Italian sangiovese along with international varieties-producing a wine that Benessere calls the "Super-Napan." Ripe dark berry, tabacco, and sandalwood flavors are mixed with dried berry and tea aromas. This is a fun wine to drink with a Tuscan-inspired dinner of bistecca alla fiorentina a thick T-bone drizzled with olive oil before being grilled.
イタリアワイン的ということで美味しそうですが、６０００円払って呑みたいかといわれると。なんせ、タバコとサンダルウッドの匂いって……ひかれないんですけど……。そして、Tボーンステーキと合うと言われても……どれだけ肉食なのよと……。
