先週土曜日、生徒さん親子が出演されるイベントに参加しました♪宗雲院で開催された朗読と楽器セッションイベント「春の夜の猫かたり」でした。

朗読と音楽の新しい試みはとってもステキでした。私もバイリンガル本の読み語りボランティアを８年やっていたのでまたやりたくなりました。

演奏にはクラリネットの優雅な音色と、パーカッションの活力溢れるリズムが組み合わされました。生徒さんの山北さんのパーカッションや打楽器の演奏と娘さん,さわさんのMC。親子ならではの温かい連携が、会場の雰囲気をより一層和やかにしてくれました。そして山北さんの色々な打楽器の説明がとっても楽しくてもっと知りたくなりました。

朗読では、猫をテーマにした物語が披露されました。物語は様々なトーンで展開されましたが、最後に朗読されたお話はホラー調でちょっとびっくり。オカルト好きの私は嬉しかったのでした。

イベントの終了後には、山北さんファミリーと打ちあげ。ファミリーで英語レッスンを楽しんでくれていて本当嬉しい❤️

楽しい夜を締めくくるには最高の時間でした！

【Spring Night Cat Stories: A Memorable Evening at Souun-in Temple】

Last Saturday, I had the privilege of attending a delightful event at Souun-in Temple—an enchanting evening of readings and musical performances titled ［Spring Night Cat Stories] The atmosphere was vibrant yet serene, as the combination of literature and music brought the spirit of spring alive.

The performances featured the melodious sound of clarinets and the dynamic energy of percussion. A standout highlight was my student’s play of percussion and his daughter’s  (who was also my student)MC .Their familial synergy added a heartwarming touch to the evening, making it truly unique.

The readings themselves focused on a feline theme, exploring the magical and mysterious world of cats. While the tales varied in tone, the final story was a surprise twist—a horror tale that had everyone on edge yet captivated. It's not often you encounter a blend of charm and chills, but this event struck that perfect balance.

After the program concluded, I joined Yamakita san family for a meal. Sharing stories and laughter over dinner was the ideal way to end such a delightful evening. It left me feeling inspired and connected—not just through art, but through the warmth of community.

Events like this remind us of the beauty of collaboration and the power of storytelling. It’s moments like these that keep me motivated to share my experiences and cherish the bonds that make life special. Keep an eye out for more adventures—there’s always another story to tell!
