Should the developed countries overcome poverty?
There are more than 1billion people who are suffering from poverty in the developing countries. Developed countries should help developing countries overcome poverty regarding world peace, global prosperity and compensation for their past exploitation in developing countries.
Firstly, developed countries economic aid to the Third World will able to realize global peace. I think poverty often caused conflicts and terrorism. If developed countries help the Third World defeat poverty, it can surely stabilize the international community and promote global safety.
Secondly, developed countries economic aid to the Third World will promote global economic prosperity. When developed countries make the effort to fill the technological gap through a kind of investment, the developing countries will be economically wealthy and become good partners of them. Therefore, both can grow economically.
Finally, developed countries previously colonized and exploited natural resources and people of the third world. This must be one of the reasons why they live in poverty today. Therefore, developed countries should compensate for their past exploitation through helping them overcome poverty.
In conclusion, I believe helping developing countries by developed countries is strongly meaningful because it will support global peace and wealth. In addition,
developed countries must compensate developing countries for the past harmful action.
