Hi, today I introduce Light. He comes from Matsuyama, Ehime.
At first I wanted a female kitten, checking the Internet, but when I saw him on a web page I couldn't resist my desire to keep him. I contacted the breeder, but to my disappointment, and a little of relief (because obviously I shouldn't buy too many cats), the breeder said someone had already asked for him. So I decided to forget about him.
A few days later I decided on one female cat who was in Hiroshima, and told her breeder that I would go to pick her up. Then the story went for an unexpected turn.
According to Light's breeder the person who had asked for him was quite untrustworthy, saying that the person didn't want to pay a deposit. Cats are living things, and if a potential owner suddenly changes his or her mind to keep them, the cat may not find anywhere to go. Light's breeder decided to reject the request from the person and contacted me to ask whether I still wanted to keep him.
So I decided to go to Matsuyma by plane in the morning to pick him up, and changed to a ferry to get to Kure, Hiroshima. There I rented a car, drove to the mountains of Hiroshima, picked the female cat on the way to get to Hiroshima Airport.
Light was a great cat, he spent, how many hours??, about 10 hours??, moving half across Japan from Matsuyama through Hiroshima and finally to Saitama. He took a car, ferry, plane, trains just in one day.
