Because of the nuclear fallout from

Fukushima No.1, "radiation hot spots"

have appeared in Chiba, Saitama, Ibaraki

prefecture, and other places.

Kashiwa and Misato City in the Tokatsu area

are well known as seriously contaminated areas,

even though they are about 200km away from

the reactors.

In those area, it is not difficult to find

malformed plants.

People think these malformed plants as some

kind of urban legend and do not take the matter

seriously. Some say the abnormality is caused

by parasitic insects, and some insist these

kind of abnormal plants had been common

before the nuclear accident.

Nobody can prove whether these abnormalities

are caused by the radioactive fallouts from

Fukushima No.1. But if you spend a day

walking around in this area, you will get to

see carious malformed plants.

"Chidaism" is now introducing

"The Malformed Plant Photo Collection."

These pictures were taken by a man

who goes into the bush to take pictures of

malformed plants. I have gotten his permission

to show them to the public.

I assume this article is quite interesting for

plant experts and lovers. If you happend to

walk around Tokatsu area, carefully observe

the plants around you. You will find some weird

and unusual plants.

All the pictures can be enlarged by

clicking them.

All of these malformed plants were fround

AFTER the nuclear accident. We will find more

if we take more time.

The first one.

Plants Like this one, where the top part of

the plant has become abnormally large can be

observed quite frequently.

What do you think?

Does this happen often?

These malformed plants were found

in the same area. Do you think we were

just not aware of them before and these

abnormalities happen quite frequently anyway?

I assume changes in color of flowers are common,

but this white one seems abnormal to me.

This one is apparently over grown.

When you talk about radiation, there is

a myth that "Everything become huge."

Is this the case maybe?

チダイズム ~毎日セシウムを検査するブログ~-KGN082

Only with this picture, you may say

"Ha, that sometimes happens."

But I have some more pictures.

Have you ever seen a stem like this?

I can not assert that it is caused by the radiation,

but it is certain that this area is highly contaminated,

and is called a "radiation hot spot."

チダイズム ~毎日セシウムを検査するブログ~-KGN084

Like this one, we see plants with a stem

that splits as it grows. It reminds me of

worldwide TV news about two-headed snakes.

Does is have the same kind of cause?

This one is really distorted and twisted.

I am not trying to be repetitive, but these

plants were found in Tokatsu area, by only

one man wandering around. We did not from

a research team or anything like that.

I am not saying the same thing is going to

happen to people. However, if even one of

these plants was malformed due to the effect

of radiation, we have to take it seriously.

We can not say that human beings are the

exceptions and we are not going to be affected.

In highly radioactive Tokatsu area, we can

easily find malformed plants, and this might be

interesting to plant experts and researchers.

Why did these malformations happen?

It would be great if the experts from all over

the world could see these pictures.

I am begging, world. Please inspect and

verify the cause of all these abnormalities

in plants in the Tokatsu area.

I assume in Fukushima, where the radioactive

contamination is way more serious than in the

Tokatsu area, that there are more malformed plants.

However, we do not have enough infomation

because, in Japan, it is almost like a "taboo"

to discuss the contamination of Fukushima.

(Especially the malformation of plants and

animals are big taboos. Nobady will talk about it.)

In Japan, the experts and authorities say that

if you are exposed to 100mSV/year of radiation,

it will ONLY increase the risk of cancer by 0.5%.

People who are careful about radiation poisoning

are being criticized as "bad people" for making

other worry.

If you tell others that you avoid unchecked

food products from Fukushima, you will be

treated as evil person spreading bad rumors

and misinfomation. The authorities want people

eating food from contaminated areas to support

the economy, even though there might be

radioactive materials present in the foods.

By now, it is meaningless to ask experts

in Japan for advice.

The only way for us to obtain trustworthy

information is to ask un-biased oversea

researchers and experts.

It is really a shameful thing to say,

but this is how it is in Japan.
